As I'm nearing the deadline for my second installment for the WorldTeach Costa Rica 2009 program, I want to thank everyone for their kind support. My family has come out full force, donating more than I could have hoped for! Many of my friends have also contributed greatly already, and more have planned to do so as well.
I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family, and I know that the students I teach will be thrilled as well. Any money raised in my name for the WorldTeach program that exceeds the volunteer fee will be used to purchase supplies for the classroom. With all the generous support I have gotten so far and all that yet to come, I am confident that we will have the resources to provide some much needed supplies for the Costa Rican classrooms!

Birthday Party and Fundraising Extravaganza
Happy birthday to me!
That's right. My B-day is just around the corner. Unfortunately, it is over OU-UT Weekend so many of you Austinites will be in Dallas forgetting about me.
Luckily, I am think ahead. My birthday party is THIS WEEKEND! Sunday at 5:00 pm, free pizza and soda will arrive at my door for everyone who can join me.
This party is going to be doublely (spelling, anyone?) fun because it will also serve as my first funraising extravaganza for my WorldTeach volunteering in Costa Rica. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, visit my website: www.jenniferlainelawrence.com.)
Those of you wonderful people who are celebrating with me will get a chance to help me brainstorm fundraising ideas. I've already heard some pretty great ones, and the more we get, the more money we can raise and the more fun we can have doing it.
Please come if you've got time. (I know mid-terms are upon us and much studying is to be done.) Bring your enthusiastic friends with you to make the party complete! Email me if you need directions or want to tell me what kind of pizza you would like . . .
